Hi,
I am just learning I2C. I have now read quite a lot and I am getting hang of how I2C works. I have used http://velleman.be K8000-board with USB-I2C converter BV4221 and BV513 PIC-based microcontroller (http://byvac.com) to command K8000.
Now I am interested to make my own board with many I2C chips and I would like to learn the multiplexer. I am not able to solder surface mount chips. So is there a list available of not-surface chips. I will try to order couple of each here in Finland.
I also saw mention to an I2C-evaluation board from NXP (Philips). Is that still available and can I order it directly from NXP? Web link? What is the cost? Is it any good :-)
Best Regards

Kari,
There are hundreds of devices that are I2C-bus capable. I don't think there's a list of all devices that are not a SMD.
Best approach is to decide what type of circuti you want to build and then look-up the parts.
